NOISE OVER INKSTER HOMES

Parts of the city of Inkster lies directly underneath Detroit Metropolitian Airport landing path. Beginning as early as 4:30 a.m. planes begin their descent, the noise level is so high that it not only awaken the homeowners, it causes an excessive level of reverbration to the house and windows. The plane level is so low that one can stand in their yard and clearly see the plane logo on the bottom.
According to the Wayne County Airport Authority residential 1992 Part 150 Noise Study, "the following communities of Romulus, Huron Township, Taylor, Westland, and Dearborn Heights were provided sound insulation treatments to reduce the impacts of airport noise." This program was completed and closed in 2006. Now, almost 25 years later, the city that sits abut to those cities, who were overlooked and denied services are in need of those same services.
We, the undersigned residents and homeowners are requesting the FAA along with other governmental agencies join together and provide services that will increase the living standards in the City of Inkster Michigan.
