Pass The Cannabis Ordinance
There is a current proposal sitting with Princess Anne right now, the people call it the Cannabis Ordinance. This proposal calls for building a Cannabis Dispensary in the town of Princess Anne, MD. The purpose is to sell, on a recreational or medicinal purpose, marijuana to willing residents.
This is currently facing a great deal of opposition, using old arguments to try and kill the measure before it can become reality. This petition is to act as the voice of the people, that say we believe cannabis can indeed benefit Princess Anne, Maryland, and would like to see it as readily available as our people see fit.

Why is this important?
First, this would establish a legal pathway for our residents to purchase marijuana. Right now in Princess Anne we can only get it illegally. Black market cannabis sales can lead to violence and increased crime which this petition aims to stop. Also this dispensary would make it easier for our sick and elderly to access cannabis for medicinal purposes in our town. The closest dispensary after that, is in Salisbury, which is over 30 minutes away. A drive of this length and distance isn't possible for every person in our community to make. I feel this petition acts not just for the freedom of Princess Anne residents to buy cannabis as they see fit, but the necessity of our residents as well. There would also be the economic benefit, with increased foot traffic from the dispensary, this would add a great deal to our local economy and boost our small businesses who are the backbone of our community.
