Petition for Fair and Efficient Legal Work Opportunities and Citizenship Pathways for Immigrants

My personal story is deeply tied to the challenges faced by legal immigrants. Like many, I recognize and appreciate their immense contributions to our nation. This great country gave my family an opportunity when Communism took over their country. Immigrants bring invaluable skills, demonstrate an admirable work ethic, and enrich our communities with cultural diversity. Yet, despite their dedication, the path to legal employment and eventual citizenship remains unnecessarily complex and restrictive.

According to data from the American Immigration Council (2018), immigrants make up nearly 14% of the U.S. population and play a vital role in various sectors of our economy. However, many legal immigrants struggle with limited work opportunities and prolonged bureaucratic hurdles that prevent them from fully contributing to society. These obstacles hinder their personal progress and limit our nation’s economic growth.

We call for fair and efficient legislation that:

✅ Expands legal work opportunities for immigrants already contributing to the U.S.

✅ Establishes a clear, expedited pathway to citizenship for those who meet requirements.

✅ Strengthens accountability measures to ensure compliance with tax obligations, criminal background checks, and responsible use of government resources.

✅ Allows potential citizenship in 10 years with a clean record.

We support a strong border once and for all; we support the deportation of all felons.
To promote integrity and national security while supporting immigration reform, we propose a sponsorship program where individuals or businesses can sponsor immigrants for work permits. Sponsors would provide a $10,000 bond and a fee to cover costs associated with a simple process which would be forfeited if:

The immigrant fails an annual criminal background check.

•
Taxes are not paid in a timely and accurate manner.

•
Government assistance is fraudulently abused.

•
The sponsor or a designated private/government agency does not fulfill reporting obligations.

This is not just about immigrants' rights—it’s about strengthening America’s economy, upholding our values, and ensuring fairness in our immigration system. By reforming our policies, we create a system that rewards hard work, encourages economic contribution, and fosters a nation that welcomes those seeking a better future, respects our flag and our values, and will do many jobs that Americans may not want to fill, like construction, landscape, agriculture, etc.
