End Abuse of Power and Discrimination: Demand Justice, Protection, and Safety for All Victims
I, Guadalupe De Los Angeles Lyn, am urgently calling for justice and protection for myself and my son, Nathaniel Lyn, who is a victim of sex trafficking, sex discrimination, harassment, coercion, and intimidation.
When I attempted to report my son missing, report his missing car, and request a physical wellness check to ensure he was not being trafficked, tortured, or harmed, I reached out for help through 911. Instead of receiving assistance, I was met with aggression, hostility, and abusive treatment from members of the Irvine Police Department.
Rather than protect my family, officers falsely accused me of misusing 911 and trespassing at Concordia University Irvine, a campus I never entered, never crossed the gate of, and where my only request was to ensure my son was alive, safe, and free from danger. These false charges were used to silence me and deny my son the protection he urgently needs.
This misconduct occurred in the context of broader racism, discrimination, harmful stereotypes, and bias, which research proves to cause severe psychological, physical, and spiritual harm. Abuse of power and systemic discrimination affect not just individuals, but entire families and communities.
We demand:

5. Clear, transparent, and accountable protocols

Why is this important?
This is not only about my family.
It is about every mother, father, student, and vulnerable citizen who has been denied help, silenced, or mistreated by those sworn to protect them.

Medical and psychological research proves that racism, discrimination, and abuse of authority inflict long-term trauma, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, physical illness, and spiritual injury. When authorities misuse power, it destroys trust, endangers lives, and enables further violence, especially toward those who are disabled, marginalized, or seeking help.
