Hold the Spring 2021 Graduation ceremony in person!
Why is this important?
We, students, work tremendously hard during our time here at UNI and it doesn't feel like a PowerPoint presentation suffices as a sort of celebration for the seniors. By the time the ceremony occurs, we will have been in a pandemic for over a year now, society has adapted. We should too! We can hold the ceremony outside, distance chairs, require masks, and limit guest seating – there are lots of options!
If UNI can figure out how to send people to class with minimum risk and have people attend athletic games then we can figure out how to fit people in a big auditorium or have people walk across an outdoor stage, possibly on Lawther Field? If you think the University should to try to hold some sort of event for the upcoming graduating class then sign this!
How it will be delivered
The hope is that we gain enough signatures to capture the attention of the University before I deliver it to them.
