  • PROSECUTE CLARENCE THOMAS FOR FALSIFYING DOCUMENTS AND JUDICIAL INSIDER TRADING
PROSECUTE CLARENCE THOMAS FOR FALSIFYING DOCUMENTS AND JUDICIAL INSIDER TRADING Clarence Thomas admitted recently that he falsified 20 years of Financial Disclosure documents going back to 1990, including during his confirmation process, by failing to disclose more than a million dollars in salary by his wife during that time. Also, Ginni Thomas launched an organization called Liberty Central and raised more than $550,000 in order to advantage of the Court’s Citizens United decision, and then received salary and benefits from that organization. And then the Thomases invested in another company called Liberty Consulting to lobby on behalf of the “tea party,” and Mrs. Thomas also received “salary and benefits” from that company. Falsifying disclosure forms violates the criminal provisions of 5 USC app Sec. 104 and 18 USC 1001, and “judicial insider trading” violates other federal statutes. We, the undersigned, ask the Department of Justice to investigate and prosecute these violations of Federal Law, and not afford Justice Thomas special treatment. A U.S. Supreme Court Justice who violates the law places our nation's judicial system in serious jeopardy and makes a mockery of the words carved on the front of the Supreme Court, "Equal Justice Under The Law."

  • Fulfill the Social Security Fairness Act, Public Law No: 118-273
We and our families have been subject to the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and the Government Pension Offset (GPO) penalties for well over four decades—the GPO (instituted in 1977) and the WEP (1983).    We call on the Social Security Administration (SSA) to promptly execute the Social Security Fairness Act (https://www.congress.gov/bill/118th-congress/house-bill/82/all-actions), which became Public Law No: 118-273 on January 5, 2025.  The SSA's expectation that implementing this could take more than a year is unacceptable.    Not only is it grossly unfair to deserving Social Security recipients, but neglecting to act quickly is also staggeringly expensive to the SSA, as the "back pay" requirement will only increase due to the law's effective date—months after December 2023.  (https://www.congress.gov/bill/118th-congress/house-bill/82/text).     We ask you to act quickly so deserving American workers can finally realize the full breadth of their Social Security benefits—Qualifying, we earned the right to access the promise of Social Security afforded to all citizens during their senior years.    Sincerely, and representing,     According to the SSA, as of January 2025, the Roughly 3.2 Million Individuals Affected by the Penalties

  • No Fracking in Colorado
Fracking is a dirty and dangerous process that is harmful to the environment and to people. 1. It emits heavy amounts of methane into the air through flaring and evaporation ponds. 2. It has been proven to foul groundwater and aquifers in Texas and Pennsylvania. 3. It has been proven to cause earthquakes in Oklahoma and Colorado. 4. People who live around fracking sites have had their health adversely affected in Texas and other states. 5. The wells have leaked in many places and there have been explosions at the well sites in some places. The companies do not want us to have any information on the chemicals they use in the process and are fighting hard to keep it secret. If they need to hide it so badly, there must be something suspect about it. Also they do not want to be regulated and this has led to many of the problems above. Their efforts are all driven by greed and not for our well being. They exaggerate the number of jobs that will be created but do not disclose that they are mostly temporary jobs. We should concentrate on renewable sources of energy and create jobs through those things that will not harm the environment or human beings. Please sign this petition and let Governor Hickenlooper and our lawmakers know that we do not want fracking in Colorado. Thank you.

  • #JusticeforFloyd: Demand the officers who killed George Floyd are charged with murder
**UPDATE 5/29/20** Officer Derek Chauvin has been arrested and charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter. There are still three other officers, Thomas Lane, Tou Thao and J. Alexander Kueng, who must also be charged for participating in George's murder. And currently, dozens of protestors have been detained and arrested for peacefully protesting. We're calling for County Attorney Michael Freeman to press murder charges against all three other officers and release the protestors immediately. _______ We are outraged and disturbed by the killing of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis Police Department officers. For seven minutes, George Floyd and bystanders cried out and pleaded for his life as your officers choked him to death in broad daylight. This is an act of police violence committed on an innocent, unarmed Black man. No one deserves what happened to George. And it’s up to you to grant justice. We are calling on you, the Mayor, to 1) block their pensions and 2) ban them from becoming police officers ever again. And County Attorney Freeman must immediately charge all four officers with murder. We’re counting on you to secure justice for his family.
