We must force the Bay County Sheriff’s Office to Be PUBLICLY ACCOUNTABLE for their actions! After hearing stories from others, and watching them do nothing but complain, it happened to me. I do not want my grandchildren growing up hearing horror stories of their police dept and having to fear them!

Through their family foundation, the Walton family who owns Walmart has spent more than $1 billion to support the privatization of our public schools. They've funded an aggressive corporate education agenda that has included mass school closures and diverted our public education tax dollars to for-profit voucher and charter schools. As a teacher, I can't support their company. Until the Walton family stops funding attacks on our public schools, I will be spending my back-to-school dollars elsewhere and encourage you to do the same!

The American people have long awaited the chance to visit Dealey Plaza on the 50th Anniversary of the Kennedy assassination (Nov. 22, 2013) in Dallas,where President John F. Kennedy was shot. But the City of Dallas and the 6th Floor Museum have taken over Dealey Plaza.for their own purposes. The American public will be banned from participating unless invited, We hear that only Dallas area residents will have tickets to enter Dealey Plaza. This petition demands that the City of Dallas and the 6th Floor Museum allow the people of the United States to enter Dealey Plaza freely, as in the past, without impediments, to honor their slain President without regard to place of residence, attire, or beliefs about the assassination. We demand that COPA and other organizations seeking justice for John F. Kennedy receive permission to speak, to freely gather unto themselves the public, at the Grassy Knoll, as in the past, and that they be allowed to hold the traditional Moment of Silence when Kennedy was shot and killed. We, the American people, shall exercise our right to assemble, speak and participate in the traditional manner, as in the past, in Dealey Plaza on Nov. 21, 22, 23,and 24, 2013 without censorship, harassment or fear. We shall also be allowed to purchase, sell or obtain whatsoever books, souvenirs, tracts,and other memorabilia is available from vendors, researchers, witnesses and friends of the Kennedy and Oswald families, inside and outside Dealey Plaza on Nov. 21, 22, 23 and 24, 2013, without hindrance, impediments or fear of arrest. We demand that the City of Dallas immediately issue permits at a reasonable cost to COPA, vendors, researchers and interested others to speak and meet freely, and to buy and sell freely, without tickets or other strategies to control who can or who cannot enter Dealey Plaza. This event must be open to us, the American people, and our wishes and constitutional rights respected.

No Tenure / No Pension.for a Congressman/woman Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they're out of office. 2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose. 3. Congress must earn their own retirement in the private sector, just as all Americans do. 4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%. 5. Congressmen lose their current health care once they leave office and participates in the same health care system as the American people. 6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people. 7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void effective 12/1/13. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen/women. 8. pass a law that says that anytime there is a deficit of more than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible for re-election Congress made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.

Ask the Alachua County Commission to SUPPORT Robert Hutchinson's motion to authorize the filing of a petition to challenge the Florida Department of Environmental Protection's proposed Minimum Flows and Levels (MFL) rule for the Lower Santa Fe and Ichetucknee Rivers.

We, a coalition of Canarsie homeowners, tenants paying property taxes and purchasers hereby request:(1) NYC Department of Finance to lower assessed tax rate and (2) outreach to taxpayers by suspending the placement of property tax liens on property owners financially impaired by sewage back-ups and by the devastation of Superstorm Sandy. We ask that property owners be given more time and the opportunity to make reasonable payment arrangements. We encourage Canarsie property owners or their designated representative to contest property tax increases by March 17, 2014. Our goal is to request that local state and city offices work together to legislate city codes of public safety that emphasizes on the protection of residents' health, safety, and welfare on all private and public grounds where there is an excess of 300 people at any given time.
