Casa Verde SD Tenant Petition for Repairs, On-Site Staffing, and CompensationAbout This Petition This petition was started by tenants in Casa Verde SD who have been dealing with ongoing problems in the building. Many of us have experienced issues like the broken elevator, repeated fire alarm disturbances, and long waits for maintenance or help when something goes wrong. We’re signing this petition to show management that these problems affect all of us and need to be taken seriously. We’re asking for: • Regular testing of the fire alarm. • PROMPT attention to all future maintenance issues. • Fair compensation for the fire alarm incidents, maintenance delays, and disruptions If you’ve dealt with any of these issues too, please sign so we can make our voices heard together. And if you have experienced other issues that you would like compensation for, please sign this petition as well and include a description of what happened. If there is not a section to leave a description, please send it to me at 9499399561. We’re collecting these petitions to send to Urban Coast Properties (Urban) along with an email informing Urban of the lack of maintenance, code violations, and requesting an immediate response as well as compensation.27 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jessica Zaki

Honor ABQ Voters: Put Reduced Marijuana Penalties on the BallotSupport the City Council resolution to send the question of reduced marijuana penalties to the ballot this November. City hall made a mistake that shut down the citizen initiative process after voters submitted 16,000 names - 5,000 more signatures than city hall said it would require - to vote on the issue. Honor the will of the voters and put the question on the ballot this November.1,481 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Pat Davis

Stop The Algonquin Pipeline Expansion Project in ConnecticutWe the undersigned ask the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) NOT TO APPROVE The Water Quality Certification for the Algonquin Pipeline Expansion Project (AIM) in CT. (Application No. WQC-201402949). We also petition our elected officials to address our concerns regarding this issue. Although this project is dangerously close to becoming a reality, many CT residents are unaware of the plan's existence. Spectra Energy's subsidiary Algonquin Gas Transmission LLC plans to construct the Algonquin Incremental Market (AIM) pipeline infrastructure across New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Many towns and cities in CT will be impacted including Cromwell, Danbury, Franklin, Lebanon, Montville, Norwich and Rocky Hill. The plan includes the expansion of approximately 17,171 feet of buried natural gas pipeline replacing the 26 inch diameter pipeline with 42 inch pipeline. This increase in size and pressure along with the expansion of compressor and metering stations may put our environment at risk as well as the health and safety of our citizens. The most alarming part of Spectra Energy's plan is to expand its 26 inch pipeline to a massive high pressure 42 inch pipeline just 1500 feet from the Indian Point nuclear power station. The gas in the pipelines will come from fracking the Marcellus Shale in Pennsylvania. Large amounts of methane are released during the processing, storage and distribution of natural gas. Methane is a greenhouse gas far more effective at trapping heat in the atmosphere than carbon dioxide. Enviornmentalists and citizens are concerned that this investment in gas infrastructure will ultimately subvert the needed expansion of the green energy economy.417 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Mary Levine

*JASPER COUNTY JAIL* Cleanliness, dietary issues, recreation.*CLEANLINESS* 1. Clothes need to be changed daily. 2. Bedding washed more often. 3. Cells need to be cleaned with antibacterial cleaners. 4. Mold needs to be bleached, killed, and scrubbed out of showers. 5. Cups need to be sanitized and cleaned. *DIETARY ISSUES* 1. There is by far not enough food fed to inmates. 2. They need to feed them meat and more food period. It's hardly enough to live. People are going crazy due to it. 3. Dogs eat better. I'm just saying these PEOPLE are people too and don't deserve this; nobody should ever have to endure some of the stuff the inmates do. *RECREATION* Our bodies require vitamin D daily. It's necessary for the inmates to spend an hour outside a day for rec. And spending more time doing stuff. They could have counseling, and maybe job training, rehab classes, and they should be made to work somehow and or stay active one way or another. All county jail is doing to people is teaching them to be lazy but then expect them to get out, work, and pay stuff and be responsible. That makes no sense to me. Maybe if things were done differently and necessary resources provided, and people actually treated like people, there wouldn't be repeat offenders and people would be set on a good, better path.178 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Jodee halverson

Ask City Reps to Protect Neighborhoods from Industrial BlightDeny the 80- to 100-foot tower at 18th and Woodland! Interpretations are still evolving in regard to local, state and federal laws and FCC mandates concerning wireless communication, as evidenced nationwide. As mandated by state and federal rulings, Kansas law KS 66-2019, does maintain local rule. However, the City of Wichita’s approach has been rather conservative and supportive of communication service providers and their claims to need additional towers. Unfortunately, regulations regarding local rule and the right to deny towers have not been made evident. We the undersigned believe the city has the authority, the right and obligation to deny this application based on — The proposed macro tower at 18th and Woodland: • isn't compatible with the use or character of the neighborhood • isn't compatible with the intent of the updated Wireless Master Plan (pg. 5) • will have a negative visual impact • will detrimentally impact property values as testified to by local licensed real estate professionals and appraisers • is overwhelmingly opposed by the public • is unnecessary for health and safety through the transmission of 911 calls, because the FCC mandates all mobile service providers receive and transmit all 911 calls For the reasons stated above, we the undersigned do not want a macro tower in our neighborhood as is proven by the signatures on this petition.166 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Madeline McCullough

Oppose "fracking" in California and elsewhereWhy Oppose Fracking? Here are eight reasons why you, a Californian, should oppose the process of “fracking” proposed by the fossil-fuel industry. 1. Potential contamination of aquifers and other water resources with a secret, undisclosed, and unstudied list of harmful contaminants. 2. Potential to release methane into aquifers and the atmosphere. 3. Increased contribution of greenhouse gases, increasing the rate of global warming. 4. Requirements for tremendous amounts of water in an already water-starved region. 5. Difficulties in collecting, processing, and disposing of wastewater. 6. Destabilization (fracturing) of deep bedrock formations, leading to increased earthquake risks in a region where earthquakes are already a daily occurrence and a major threat. 7. Provides another excuse for not weaning away from fossil fuels instead of increasing our reliance on renewable energy resources such as solar, wind, and geothermal energy. The array of processes involved in “fracking” has not been studied comprehensively to inform us of both the risks and problems and the overall benefits. We are being asked, AGAIN, to accept the blithe assurances from the fossil-fuel industry that, “Everything will be alright – just trust us!” So, please join me in urging Assemblyman Rocky Chavez to oppose all issues related to permitting “fracking” that come before the California Assembly.428 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Dennis C. Be Truthful about Education Funding“Education funding went up four per cent last year. Four percent is a lot of money. That is a very, very large increase. What else in your life has gone up four per cent? Most people’s incomes have not gone up by 4%. At one point you cannot get water from a stone.”-Gov. Cuomo Governor, please stop being dishonest. We have all seen many costs rise beyond 4% over the last 12 months, as have our schools with gasoline prices up 6%, diesel up 9%, health care costs up 12%, and according to the Food Price Index; households face over a 5% increase in rising food costs. Our school districts shoulder these cost increases with historically declining state support. Since the 2009-2010 school year, one small, rural district (Cambridge Central School) has lost 12% in financial support provided by the state INCLUDING your reported 4% increase last year. Invest in the future of our state; our future residents, employees, business owners, and leaders. Recognize these future stakeholders are the very children sitting in our classrooms.110 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Colleen McDonald
