I’m calling on you to publicly denounce the FOP and refuse to negotiate with them on any aspect of police accountability or reform, until they reverse course.

Please immediately shut down @realDonaldTrump for endangering lives, inciting violence, illegal claims of total authority over states, threats to states who do not conform (illegal), and tacit encouragement of hate crimes (violation of Twitter's hateful conduct policy).

Donald Trump just fired the head watchdog at the State Department -- who was investigating potential abuse of power by Trump’s Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. We cannot sit idly by as Trump eliminates any and all oversight of his administration. Congress must amend federal law to protect independent inspectors general -- by requiring the president to show cause in order to remove them.

We call on President Trump, Vice President Pence, Attorney General Barr, all Republican Senators who voted against impeachment, and all other enablers of the current repressive Republican regime to RESIGN NOW. The Republican party, now led by toxic and oppressive voices, has created a deeply polarized nation, abetting and reinforcing the mistreatment of African Americans and undermining the fabric of our democracy. They are responsible for dismantling and degrading protections for the environment, for workers, and for public health and safety, and they seek to manipulate all of us with lies, intimidation, and voter suppression. They must all go together in a clean sweep as we seek to create equity and justice for all. We have mentioned the top enablers, but there are many more throughout government at the federal, state, and local levels who should step down now.

TO: US Senators: Please debate and vote on Joe Manchin’s (D- WV) resolution to censure Trump on the impeachment charges. Your vote to acquit him has unleashed a flood of illegal and immoral actions by the “exonerated” President. He is retaliating against those who testified against him in the House, which violates the Whistleblower Protection Act of 1989. His own Attorney General, William Barr, is publicly complaining about his interference with the decisions of the Justice Department. You have a second chance to let him know that the impeachment charges are valid; that it was wrong of him to overrule the Congressional authorization of funds to Ukraine in order to further his personal political career. You must let him know that you disagree with his defense attorney’s statement: that what Is good for Trump is good for the country. This equates him with an absolute monarch. It was Louis XIV who said “L’etat c’est moi”- (I myself am the nation.) Again, please vote to censure Trump.

It is time for news organizations to step up and acknowledge their participation in encouraging Donald Trump's lies. All of our lives are at risk and yet this man is encouraged to insult and berate journalists, medical professionals, et al while endangering the lives of all Americans with his "wait and see" attitude in providing individuals on the front lines of this pandemic with tests, ensuring that manufacturers begin mass production of masks, gloves, gowns, equipment and drugs needed to facilitate medical personnel in this overwhelming fight. No one in the media should continue to encourage the raw ego of Mr. Donald Trump. We are all on the brink of disaster.
