Rep. Nunes: We urge you to enthusiastically support the Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2014 and thereby help to keep our democracy strong and to maintain our position as the democratic model for the world.

As a citizen of Virginia, I support changing Virginia's laws to protect gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender employees from discrimination in the workplace. No Virginian should suffer the threat of losing a job simply because of who they love. I support legislation to extend workplace protections for state employees. I hope you will support this important legislation and consider signing on as a co-sponsor.

I believe that Northside Co-ops and tenants should not be kicked out of the student district and that a student district should have a majority of dorms and Co-ops. Because of this, I support the United Student District Amendment (USDA). The USDA has been endorsed by the Berkeley Student Cooperative Board of Directors, East Bay Young Dems, and Cal Berkeley Democrats. The Daily Cal has supported the inclusion of Northside. The students in Berkeley deserve a majority student district that is truly inclusive. The majority of the Co-ops, dorms, fraternities, sororities, and International House should be included. The USDA does just that. The USDA brings in an additional three student dorms, 11 Co-ops, Northside student tenants, and I-House into District 7 without removing any official student housing, creating a district that has a 90.3% student age population. We cannot wait 10 more years for Northside to be included. This is why I will be willing to support a referendum if the USDA plan fails. Please stand in solidarity with the student population by supporting the United Student District Amendment.

Stop the racist rhetoric! Your talk of deporting people is cruel and racist. We, the undersigned, take great offense to the words you use and the insane intent of your message. While others remain silent in reacting to your scare-mongering tactics, we want you to know that we hear you loud and clear and anyone, presidential candidate or not, who speaks of perpetrating such an unspeakable act should be held accountable for his words. As of now, until you rescind your words, we will boycott all Trump-owned businesses. We are a better country than this. Imagine yourself, Mr. Trump, for one minute--standing on the doorstep of a family you think should be deported. Knock on their door. Deliver the message to them yourself--"You gotta go--now." Hear the screams and cries of their children as you personally drag them away. Think of that happening in home after home, city after city--all across America. May the cries of these children, and the faces of the people whos lives you will be responsible for destroying haunt your dreams. Take back your words. Now.

The Freedom Caucus or Tea Party is threatening to Shut Down the Government again if the new Speaker doesn't agree to employ the tactic of using government shutdown as a means to repeal ObamaCare, Cut Social Security, Cut Medicare, Repeal the Iran Deal, Defund Planned Parenthood and cut taxes for the rich. Its time to teach the Tea Party a civics lesson. One branch of government, or 40 members of the Freedom Caucus cannot dictate public policy and enact legislation by terrorism. Sign the petition to begin raising money and begin a campaign in every Freedom Caucus district to hold RECALL elections for those Tea Party members that threaten millions of jobs, millions of dollars in stock market value and threaten constitutional democracy. Zero tolerance has no place in our schools. Suspension is not a way to address normal childhood behavior issues and children cannot learn when out of school. We demand that Collegiate Academies end their Zero Tolerance policy for student infractions and put an immediate moratorium on expulsions and out-of-school suspensions.

From the government shutdown to the debt ceiling, Tea Party Republicans have wreaked enough havoc on our country. Stop holding the country hostage to further your political gains; vote on a clean budget resolution and raise the debt ceiling without demanding cuts to Social Security, Obamacare, or any other vital programs.

Dunkin' Donuts has removed Styrofoam from locations in Brookline, MA and Freeport, ME. As a Rhode Islander, I urge your company to remove Styrofoam from all Rhode Island locations as well. Styrofoam poses unnecessary risks to the environment, including marine ecosystems like Narragansett Bay. Chains like Starbucks have already eliminated Styrofoam cups. I urge Dunkin' to be an environmental leader by phasing out Styrofoam in Rhode Island immediately.

I hope you are reading this because there are some very important things you need to know here. This action to "End Global Warming" is that of one who has fallen for "their" lies, and is deceived into ignoring the real issues causing our problems. First of all, global temperature changes from ice-age to warm age (like now, which will be the warmest on Dec 21 of 2012), are caused by the Milankovitch cycles: 1)the circle/oval nature of the earths orbit=100,000yrs; 2)the precession of earths axis makes a circle=about 26,000yrs; 3)the tilt of earths axis also changes in a cycle of 41,000 years. All of these effect the temperature. Also, Antarctica used to be near or at the equator, and the predicted shifting of the earths axis is happening right now, at 40miles per year last time I checked. We here in Arizona are therefore slowly moving towards the equator while the north pole moves towards Russia. In the last 150 years it is true that we have increased the natural warming slightly, but only a small percentage (well under 10%) of the natural fluctuation between now, and the middle of the last ice age (which was 130,000 years long, and note, the neanderthals started and ended during that same period). Further note that there is major meteor activity every 26,000 years, and that it is more severe ever third cycle, and this is the third cycle. There are major meteors headed our way in 2012 and 2020. Last time they ended the ice age and killed the neanderthals. The time before that was minor, it only created the huge Arizona Meteor crater, which is a small global event compared to the other ones as seen in the Ice Core chart on Wikipedia. The time before that was the third and last time that the super-volcano in Yellow Stone erupted, it has erupted every 75,000 years or so, and each time because of a meteor. Also, a meteor created it the first time, about 225,000 years ago.
