Licensed to Kill.

Chico, California Police and the Butte County District Attorney have become the judge, jury and executioner once too often.

Over the past few years, Tyler Rushing, Desmond Phillips, and Stephen Vest have died at the hands of the Chico Police Department.

The Butte County District Attorney has enabled Chico Police to know they can get away with anything and everything which emboldens officers to use lethal force.

It's time for this to end. While the Rushing family is awaiting the decision of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, which is an appeal of a ruling from a judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, that denied the family's request for a trial of the police officers who killed Tyler Rushing.

It's about time there was a comprehensive outside investigation of the Chico Police Department and the Butte County District Attorney.

Mr. Dave Waddell @ http://chicosol.org/ has authored three extensive investigations into each of these killings; read the details of these cases.

Police expert: Excessive shots by a Chico police officer killed Stephen Vest, when he was already down, shot twice in the back.

These cases must be investigated by the California Attorney General and the United States Department of Justice.

We must put an end to this siege of police violence.

Why is this important?
