Tell Congress: Pass the new $15/hr minimum wage bill! Some nights, I skip dinner to feed my kid. I work hard at McDonald’s – but still make far too little to survive. Senator Bernie Sanders and the Democratic leadership in Congress just introduced a federal bill to help me – and millions like me. A bill to raise the minimum wage to $15/hour across the country. When 200 fast-food workers walked off their jobs in New York City in 2012 to demand $15 an hour and union rights, we were called crazy – President Obama had yet to call for even a $9 an hour federal minimum wage. Then, we WON. Twenty-two million Americans have won raises, totaling $62 billion in the pockets of working people since this fight began. Now, Bernie Sanders and Democrats across the board support $15/hour because we did not stop fighting. And we won’t stop fighting. The current federal minimum wage is $7.25/hour, and it’s simply nowhere near enough for workers and our families to live on. Congress MUST pass this bill to provide help for the millions of people around the nation who barely scrape by every single day.2,482 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Adriana Alvarez, Fight for $15

WHATEVER IT TAKES FOR $15 AN HOUR.Fast food workers across the country are on strike. We’re striking because no one who works for a living should be forced to live in poverty – not when we work for hugely profitable corporations. We’re striking because McDonald’s and the fast food giants continue to dismiss us, and refuse to give us the respect that any human being deserves. We aren’t just striking for better pay and respect though, we’re striking to survive – and we have no other choice. We’re willing to do whatever it takes to win $15 an hour and the right to form a union without intimidation. Stand with us by adding your name to our petition and share it far and wide after you have.18,771 of 20,000 SignaturesCreated by Jeanina Jenkins

MCDONALD’S: END MCPOVERTY NOWToday is the biggest strike in fast food history and it’s phenomenal. The actions in support of $15/hour wages and the right to form a union without retaliation have spread across the globe. It’s time for McDonald’s and the whole fast food industry to recognize that they can’t keep paying poverty wages to their employees – men and women, moms and dads, people whose families are depending on them. Support the strike – then spread the word! Sign our petition to McDonald’s to pay $15 an hour and allow workers to form a union. Make sure everyone at McDonald’s May 22nd shareholder meeting knows that paying poverty wages is no longer an option.84 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Adriana Alvarez

McDonald's Admits They Might Have to Raise WagesMcDonald’s acknowledged that worker strikes and social media campaigns (hey, that’s us!) “can adversely affect us,” and that increased focus on income inequality could mean they have to raise wages. Wow, how’s that for confirming our campaign is working? We can’t stop now. We won’t stop now. We have to keep the pressure on. If you think it’s high time McDonald’s raised their workers’ pay, add your name to our thank you letter and share it far and wide after you have.15,785 of 20,000 SignaturesCreated by Devonte Yates

Workers can't survive on $7.25. Congress: raise wages now!Essential workers voted and essential workers decided. We sent lawmakers to Washington who promised to stand with us to deliver racial and economic justice. Across the country workers like me are still struggling on poverty wages, especially as the COVID-19 pandemic drags on. We have kids, rent, bills to pay. The $7.25/hr minimum wage just doesn’t cut it for anyone, anywhere. Enough is enough. No one should work 40 hours a week and still have to choose between rent and groceries. Congress will only act if we do. Add your name to tell Congress that we need a $15/hr federal minimum wage NOW.7,163 of 8,000 SignaturesCreated by Kenia Campeano

YOUR Tax Dollars are subsidizing McDonald’s. Stop them.Even if you don’t eat Big Macs, you STILL pay for them. That’s because fast food giants like McDonald’s, Taco Bell and Burger King depend on taxpayers like you to subsidize the low wages they pay their workers -- to the tune of $7 billion a year - when their workers are forced to rely on programs like food stamps and Medicaid. It’s SO not right - and it’s time for the fast food giants to get their hands out of our pockets. In New York state alone, taxpayers spend $700 million annually to subsidize low pay at food companies -- the most of any state in the nation. We can fix it. This summer. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo just launched a wage board with the power to raise wages for the 180,000 fast-food workers in the state. And this action would trigger a wave of raises for low-wage workers across the country. We need to make sure they don’t opt for a half measure and instead raise wages to where they need to be: $15 an hour. Time is running out - we need every signature collected by the big hearing in New York City on June 15. Sign now.31 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Fight for $15

URGENT: DAYS LEFT TO SIGN FOR $15With just DAYS LEFT, the restaurant lobby just launched a major push to KILL the $15 an hour movement. Right now, your message to the New York wage board to raise wages for fast-food workers to $15 an hour is more important than EVER. The restaurant lobby is fighting tooth-and-nail to kill or weaken the wage board’s decision – we need to show them that New York NEEDS $15 today. We need every signature in by the big hearing in New York City on Monday, June 15. Time is running out – sign now.24 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Fight for $15

Don’t let fast-food workers go hungry! With just DAYS LEFT, the restaurant lobby just launched a major push to KILL the $15 an hour movement. $15 is winnable -- but only if we speak up before Monday, June 15. That’s the day the wage board formed to decide whether to raise fast-food pay in New York is holding a big hearing in New York City. If New York raises fast-food pay to $15, it will boost paychecks for 180,000 New Yorkers -- most adults, many supporting families. They deserve to be able to pay their rent and feed their families. And this action would trigger a wave of raises for low-wage workers across the country. If minimum wage had simply kept pace with worker productivity since 1968, it would be well over $15 today. Instead, CEOs have gotten richer and richer, while the working class struggles to get by. Tell the wage board: It’s time for $15.21 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Fight for $15

Tell Andy Puzder, the CEO of Hardee's and Carl's Jr., that HE'S the problem!Andy Puzder, Hardee's and Carl's Jr. CEO, recently appeared on Fox News and disrespected his 20,000+ employees by insisting that they are so dependent on public benefits that they would not want to work full-time hours nor take promotions if the minimum wage were raised. He went on to say, "These [public assistance] benefits are essential for people, they're how they pay the rent, they're how they feed their kids," without noting the irony that it's his company's poverty wages that make it impossible for fast food workers to make ends meet without public assistance. The fast food industry benefits from over $153 billion a year in subsidies in the form of public assistance because their wages are so abysmal. These subsidies allow CEOs like Puzder to earn a staggering $17,192/day, which is more than a minimum wage employee makes each year. Tell Puzder to open his eyes and see that his greed is the real problem.392 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Fight for $15

KFC: Stop stealing from this Iraq War vetDerrell Odom fought in Iraq and earned a Purple Heart serving our country. Now, he struggles to get by on the minimum wage pay he makes at KFC. Even worse: his bosses are stealing from him. Through illegal accounting tricks like shifting hours on paychecks to avoid paying overtime, the KFC franchise where Derrell works is keeping his wages down to bolster their bottom line. This KFC store needs to STOP stealing from Derrell now - and KFC needs to ensure that no employee ever has their wages stolen again at any store.254 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Fight for $15
