$18.2 Billion Annually For California Fire Protection

By enacting a simple accounting change for California Public Institutions(state, cities,,school districts and counties) a pool of up to $18.2 billion annually would be produced to make the comprehensive changes necessary to substantially reduce the California fire hazard. This simple accounting change has no net cost to public employees, no direct cost to public institutions and can be put into effect in short order. Please talk to your state, city, county, and school district leaders and urge them to adopt this simple accounting change to forever change fire fighting response in California by fully funding cutting edge solutions for fire fighting now and in the future.

Why is this important?

Looking to the future of California Fire Fighting I see that the fire season is lasting longer and even though there are complaints about spending there has never been a truly well funded fire fighting strategy because there is only enough money to barely take care of the ever growing fires which leaves no money to plan ahead for cutting edge systems and technologies, manpower and equipment are barely adequate in the best of times and if you ask Fire Fighting Leaders they would tell you they need more. Enacting a simple accounting change would make the funds available now to get ahead of the fire seasons and protect all California Citizen's homes and businesses.
