For the safety of our children, I support a 30 MPH speed limit on Rt. 172 between Bedford, NY and Pound Ridge, NY.
Why is this important?
This stretch of 172 is home to hundreds of school children who ride school buses every day. Drivers from NY and CT frequently travel this stretch of road in excess of 50 MPH and there have been multiple accidents over the past several years.
For the safety of our children and overall quality of life, let's make Rt. 172 30 MPH like most other roads in our area.
