7th and 8th Graders NEED Art class
Our children in the 7th and 8th grades are at a critical time in their lives when they are experiencing many changes and need creative outlets to express themselves. There have been many studies proving that art helps foster positive emotions, even on the scientific level where it increases dopamine helping to battle anxiety and depression which many children going through puberty experience. Art helps the children to release stress and express themselves in a healthy, positive way rather than getting involved in negative actions. Cutting the art program for our children during these crucial years could have a devastating effect on those that do not have other outlets (are not athletes or musicians). Please reinstate the art program for our children.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Why is this important?
Our community needs to come together to express to our school system how important we believe it is that our youth have the creative outlet of art classes for 7th and 8th grades.
