Address the cause of chaos and division: the right-wing media machine
Our country is divided. Everyone agrees on that. But very few in office want to address the cause of this. A few pundits do now but we need our representatives to take lead on dealing with the disinformation, hatred, lies and conspiracy theories spewn forth by those that either call themselves "news" or those who pose as experts and commenters on Hate Radio.
Since the demise of the Fairness Doctrine and the relaxing of the Telecommunications Act in 1996 we've seen corporations or entities with an agenda, gobble up our media and use that media to divide - either for ideological purposes or for profit. All under the cover of "free speech".
A discussion needs to be had about what can be done about destructive right-wing media before it's too late.

Why is this important?
I had experienced losing my father to right-wing media and then while doing a documentary, discovered it was a phenomenon. All across America right-wing media has torn apart families and the country.
