Address the Issue of Self-Driving Cars to the Government

If a self-driving vehicle has an unavoidable accident, should it sacrifice itself or others? The government should make this decision, and when they do, self-driving cars can then be made open to the public.

Why is this important?

I am researching this topic for my 8th Grade Speech and Debate class in Ridgewood, NJ. after asking around whether people would buy a self-driving car, I thought about what would convince people to be on board with the technology. If the government took action and decided what a car should do in an unavoidable accident, then the worries of many car makers and costumers will be lifted.
