Affordable Housing and Rent Control in San Francisco

To the Office Mayor of London Breed,

I am writing to you today to express my concern about the lack of affordable housing in our city. As you are well aware, San Francisco has become one of the most expensive cities in the country to live in, with skyrocketing housing costs making it increasingly difficult for many residents to make ends meet.

The need for affordable housing in San Francisco is more urgent than ever, and I urge you to take action to address this issue. I am aware that there have been some efforts made in the past to increase the availability of affordable housing, but I believe that more needs to be done.

I am asking you to prioritize affordable housing in your upcoming budget and to work with developers to ensure that new developments include affordable units. I am also asking you to explore other options, such as rent control, to help keep housing costs down for those who need it most.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to seeing your efforts to address this urgent issue.

Why is this important?

I urge you to make sure that the affordable housing that is available is accessible to those who need it most, including low-income families, seniors, and people with disabilities. This will help lessen homelessness in our city. It is unacceptable that so many people are struggling to find safe and affordable housing in our city, and we must do everything we can to make sure that everyone has a place to call home.
