Against Pacific Fields Rezone in Stansbury
I am against the proposed rezoning of 4.9 acres within Stansbury Park from the current zoning to allow for up to seven multiple family units per acre (RM-7).
This proposed rezone is at odds with the nature of the neighborhood that surrounds the proposed development, placing high density housing in the middle of a group of neighborhoods that are single family dwelling.
In addition, this proposal would increase traffic at a major choke point within the park, and establish a neighborhood where the residents would be cut off from support, such as schools, playground and parks by a major traffic artery.
We urge the commission to retain the current zoning for this piece of property.

Why is this important?
This proposed rezone would allow for the building of high density housing in the form of duplexes within what should be the boundaries of the Stansbury Village HOA.
This greatly changes the nature of the neighborhood.
Additionally this would create a neighborhood isolated by the major traffic artery of the frontage road and adding to an already congested area of the park.
