AIC Level 1 Exam Requirement

Remove the requirement of a passing score from the AIC Level 1 Exam in order for undergrads to graduate.

Why is this important?

As a vast majority of the undergrad that took the exam, many did not pass the exam. Some aren't fortunate enough to be able to register another $250 exam and some aren't able to walk the stage due to an exam holding them back. The test are only given twice a year and some aren't happy to wait another semester to retake the exam. University of Houston are the only University that requires a passing score in order for undergrad to graduate. We were advised last year, students that took the AIC Level 1 Exam were off the hook due to score retrieval timing. We understand there are circumstances, but we should be able to walk the stage as well. It is important for UH to be recognized of the CM students here to be certified as a Professional Constructor and we are proud of that, but it is declining the Graduate Rates. We believe that we were not prepared enough for the exam due to the lack of preparation from our Professors. We would advise a solution on behalf of the CM undergrad to make it mandatory to take the AIC Level 1 Exam but a passing score is not require to graduate. We would like this effective as soon as possible. *Students: Please Provide Name and Student ID
