ALABAMA! Label GMO's!
In a country that labels everything from cosmetics to cleaning agents, it’s surprising that there are no laws in the U.S. requiring labeling of genetically engineered foods. Yet 93% of Americans believe our foods should be labeled.
Many other countries including: Japan, Australia, the European Union and even China require labeling of genetically engineered foods. In addition, they and many more reject U.S. foods because they are GMO!
ALABAMA, WE NEED TO DEMAND THIS NOW:
“GM” or “Derived from GM”: All foods in which any single ingredient is intentionally or accidentally derived from genetically modified plants or animals must be labeled. (The European Union law provides a working example of this.)
“Fed” or “Injected”: In addition, all products derived from animals that have been fed GM feed or injected with GM hormones (such as rbGH) must also be labeled.
Immediate Action: We want to know which foods contain genetically modified organisms (GMOs) now. Please announce that labeling GM food is a high priority, so we can have a choice!
Let Alabama join Connecticut and be the next state to approve GMO labeling!

Why is this important?
We have a right to know what we are eating!
