Parking downtown has always been a struggle for downtown employees, with many of us accruing massive amounts of debt through repeated ticketing. Downtown employees are being targeted and arrested like criminals. The purpose of this petition is to ask the City of Lawrence to provide parking permits to be used at two-hour meters to downtown employees.
Why is this important?
The lack of parking for downtown employees is causing massive debt and legal problems for the workers who keep our downtown businesses alive. There should be more easily accessible parking for downtown employees.
