Americans stand with Ukraine

Dear President Zelensky, and the people of Ukraine:

We, the undersigned, want you to know that tens of millions of Americans are furious with our President for dragging America off the pedestal of the world’s most important, successful, and long lived democracy, into being an ally for Vladimir Putin’s evil, genocidal war of aggression against Ukraine. We realize the depth of moral collapse on the world stage that the same country most responsible for saving Europe from fascism in WWII, has now, under Mr. Trump, become a facilitator and an accomplice to the greatest crime against humanity since that terrible war. 

We consider Mr. Trump an unpunished criminal, guilty of masterminding the most malevolent crime in American history, a blatant attempt to overthrow our government. We consider what he has been doing since taking office, a second attempted coup to overthrow our democracy.  We consider Mr. Putin to be guilty of egregious crimes against humanity, in the same league as Europe’s war mongering dictators of the past—Adolph Hitler, Joseph Stalin, and Benito Mussolini. And we consider Mr. Trump’s cheerleading for Mr. Putin to be constitutionally treasonous to our own country and morally and ethically repugnant and depraved.

While we fight to save our own democracy, we want you to know that we fully support and pray for you and your country in your heroic attempt to defend yourself from Mr. Putin’s megalomaniacal, genocidal war of aggression.
