The attempt by AIPAC to suppress the BDS (Boycott, Divestment & Santion) movement is an unconstitutional attempt at censoring protected political speech. It must not pass and cannot be allowed to stand.
H.R. 4514 and S. 2531 are unconstitutional on 1st Amendment grounds as they seek to censor and/or punish protected political speech.
Why is this important?
I am a member of Jewish Voice for Peace. This petition opposes "The Combating BDS Act of 2016 H.R. 4514 and S. 2531" as well as similar measures introduced in the Ohio State Legislature, H.B. 476.
