New Jersey needs automatic voter registration to make it easier for people to vote. We demand automatic registration to vote through the motor vehicles department. The bill passed by the New Jersey Legislature would also establish two weeks of in-person, early voting and expand the availability of election materials in different languages.
Why is this important?
We shouldn't have to jump through hoops or stand in long lines to register to vote. If we move and change our vehicle registration, voter registration should be automatic. And if we need election materials in other languages, they should be available so that all can participate in the democratic process.
