Stop Federal Tax Credit Properties from exploiting Low Income Families and Disabled Seniors in America. The Federal Guidelines for Low Income Federal Tax Credit properties expired 10 years ago allowing these residences to charge Americans any amount of their income they choose...I moved in in March of 2011 paying $654 on the condition I was on a 7 person waiting list for a low income rate but the list was done away with in 2012. I'm currently paying $711 of my $884 of my Social Security SSI in Palmdale, California, leaving me without medicine and food money and no way out @ 65 yrs. old.
Why is this important?
The guidelines for Low Income Federal Tax Credit Buildings expired 10 years ago but were never updated leaving disabled and retired seniors and other low income families suffering financially due to this oversight. My Social Security SSI income is $884 a month and my rent is $711.00, forcing me to go without food and Medicine. Why isn't the Federal Government addressing this?
