Ban fracking wastewater from organic food
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's standards require that organic crops be raised without using most conventional pesticides, petroleum-based fertilizers, or sewage sludge-based fertilizers. But farmers are still able to water their crops with petroleum-laced wastewater obtained through oil and gas wells.
This goes against the very idea of organic produce, and undermines U.S. positioning in international markets. Please update the organic standards to prevent the use of petroleum-laced wastewater.

Why is this important?
Water from fracking operations is being used to irrigate crops.
So despite all the undisclosed chemicals and water contamination concerns, your produce could have been grown with tainted water. Even crazier: this food can be labeled as "organic" under current rules.
Convince the USDA to ban fracking wastewater from organic produce.
