Florida's Beauty Industry Soft Opening

Allow licensed hair salons, barber shops and nail salons as well as other industry professionals such as massage therapists to perform services with one client in the salon or shop per operator at a time Starting as of Monday, April 27, 2020. We will follow all protocols as deemed by the State Board of Florida and even add extra safety measures such as utilizing hand sanitizer before and after each client, wearing masks and spraying our entire workspace with Lysol between clients. Our industry needs to be recognized & deemed as an essential business so we can better serve our community.
Servicing one client at a time while imposing strict and more advanced safty procedures poses little to no risk of spreading the virus, as compared to 20 or more people in a grocery store or 10 plus people at restaurants picking up food.

Why is this important?

Beauty Professionals provide an extremely needed service. It improves mental wellness and good hygiene. Many clients come in once a week to have their hair washed and styled because they are physically unable to wash their own hair for fear of falling and injury.
