Bernie Sanders: Reduce Immigration Enforcement Funding for FY 2020

Its time to say NO to Trump's anti- immigrant agenda! Reduce the immigrant enforcement funding for FY 2020 and divert funds to ensure that all asylum seekers have access to know-your-rights services, adequate counsel during immigration proceedings, improve detention centers, and provide sufficient resources for adequate health care, while creating effective accountability within DHS.

Why is this important?

I urge you to reduce funding for the administration’s wasteful and abusive immigration enforcement activities and to provide oversight over the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), whose unchecked practices have led to abuse and mistreatment of families and children in holding cells and and death due to inadequate medical care.
