Bibb County District Office Attorney, K. David Cooke Jr. is no longer hanging our young black men on trees. His new rope is a 2016 lynching by telling defendants. I will charge you with a cell phone even if you do not have one, or even if you did not get caught with one. You better take our illegal plea bargains, OR ELSE! This is an innovation of reverse lynching by K. DAVID COOKE JR. He has taken off his hood and put on his district attorney hat.
I preach, and I am not an activist. I am a preacher. But at some point, preaching the truth means standing for the right of others, too, to preach the truth, and live a full life. Being a preacher means realizing that preaching is exposing the ugly attraction of this district attorney office, and it will put me face to face with the ugliest segments of the New Jim Crow.
All of these illegal plea bargains are intertwined. Any violence/illegal plea-bargains against one person in the past, or in the future, or in the present, it is a part of my preaching. This preaching, while stunning, is not about comfort. Right from the beginning of his tenure, Cooke makes it clear that he does not believe in fairness in our lives, mainly the Black Lives, who has been marginalized. I have regretfully accepted this injustice against generations of young African-American men in Macon, Georgia.
Welcome to Macon, Georgia; this new Klansman in charge is implementing trunked up charges against defendants, implementing illegal wiretaps, implementing sketched law enforcement recorded conversations, implementing indecorously pleas with mendacious defendants lawyers, implementing federal witnesses to lie to get their time reduced, and implementing a team of discriminatory renegades to conduct his Machiavellian plan as an officer of the state.
