Bike Lanes and Sidewalks in San Angelo
The citizens of San Angelo have voted to continue having our Sales Tax to be one of the highest in the state. We have done so with the hope that our community get further developed. Now, we must let the City of San Angelo know that we want more bike-friendly and pedestrian-friendly roads. This town has many people who travel by bike that face some dangers from other moving vehicles who aren't separated into other lanes. Because of this, many people do not ride bikes in town. There are also young kids and military personnel who walk almost everywhere, but have no sidewalks to walk on, exposing them to traffic in some places. If we get enough signatures, we can get the City of San Angelo to add in these accommodations while they are fixing the roads of San Angelo, which is already a work in progress. Please sign this petition and pass it on.
Why is this important?
San Angelo, TX has very few sidewalks that last longer than a couple of blocks. It has even fewer bike lanes. This petition is to ask the City of San Angelo to start adding these accommodations while they are fixing the roads. We voted to keep the Sales Tax as high as it is to better our roads and our community. Sign this petition so that we can use those tax dollars to make the roads more bike-friendly and to put in sidewalks in places other than downtown.
