Blue Cross DOES NOT Support Prevention

Blue Chip has decided not to paid for YMCA memberships for Seniors after making the benefit available for several years. Not only does this undermine prevention efforts for Seniors, but it could result in a huge loss for the YMCA.

Why is this important?

BC\BS has pulled a bait and switch, promising prevention benefits and then reneged on the deal. Prevention was a promised benefit. My cost for an appropriate exercise program will go from $5 a month to $44 or over $500 a year. Seniors vote with you feet and change plans to one that supports prevention in a meaningful way.
