Petition the federal government of the US to create a program to facilitate the placement of low and medium voltage power lines underground throughout the US.
Why is this important?
Having underground power lines, as do many civilized countries, would provide for protection against storms and would prevent the endless strings of costly repairs, economic damage, human suffering and lives lost. A federal project to kick start the process nationwide would provide an economic boost, create thousands of jobs and help secure our country. Besides, it would look nicer.
