California has a very limited supply of fresh water left after being stricken with drought. We need to use taxpayer money to fund a state-wide distillation program to clean sea-water for use by citizens. Utilizing magnetic induction and solar panels would make these facilities efficient and inexpensive. The amount of permanent jobs created would be significant since this would be a state-wide project.
Why is this important?
Water is a basic human right. We shouldn't allow drought to rob people of their basic privileges.
