California hairstylists/beauty industry go back to work when it’s actually safe.

Allow hairstylists/barbers/esthetician’s to remain safer at home so we can stop the spread of the deadly Covid-19. As much as we all would love to return back to work, service our clients that we miss and love, generate income that we are all in desperate need of, and yes, just get out of the house; We need to remember that this is a deadly virus that is spread by human contact, and that there is still no vaccine nor is there medicine that can even combat this virus. Hairdressing is not essential and we need to stop asking for it to be treated as such.

When we do open and adhere to strict cleaning standards, it needs to be after a vaccine is created and or medicine becomes available to combat this virus. Masks can help, cleaning can help, but they don’t actually stop the spread of this virus, only social distancing does, and you can’t do hair 6 feet apart.

We need to be patient and wait this out. Are you angry? Do you need income? Are you afraid? I am too! Our government needs to take care of its people, it’s needs to supply us with income to stay home! We need to be petitioning for that! But to petition to return to work early under a false sense of safety for ourselves, our families, and our clients? This isn’t right.
