Cancel NFL Tax Exempt Non-Profit Status

The NFL is rich - the owners are rich - and most of the top players are rich. To allow them to remain a tax exempt non-profit group is pure abuse of the tax-exempt status awarded many groups.

Anytime they want a new stadium, etc it is always the community and tax-payers who are on the hook. If the team fails - who do you think pays for it? The Tax payers.

This has got to STOP!!!

Why is this important?

Any taxpayer of any city/community who ends up paying for these rich team owners and coaches loses on these deals. Especially those for whom the price of tickets has escalated to the point where they are not even able to purchase them.

And, for others, such as myself and my whole extended family, who do NOT EVER watch any NFL game and resent the intrusion on our TV viewing when they always run over on nights when we want to watch something else it adds insult to injury.

If the owners want a new stadium, let them pay for it - and cancel the NFL tax-Exempt non-profit status immediately. It is unbelievable that this even exists and we were hood-winked when this was enacted.
