Please make Mississippi acknowledge adult hood at age 18 instead of 21. let's stop MS from forcing parents to pay child support after the dependent turns age 18!!! After 18 you can vote and join the military so you are an adult.
Why is this important?
The state of Mississippi says a minor is not an adult until age 21. while 18 is the age of adulthood. They force parents to pay child support until the child becomes 21. This is unfair and congress, and the MS state legislature need to make the legal adult age 18. If you can vote and join the military at 18 then you are an adult and therefore should not be eligible for child support and the entitlement should stop, the same as most other states in the US. Lets make Mississippi change the legal age for adulthood to 18.
