Change Michigan Domestic Violence Laws

Michigan Domestic Violence laws should be changed to help benefit the victims of domestic violence.

Why is this important?

As someone who knows what it's like to see someone you care about get hurt by their partner, I would like to propose new laws for domestic violence in the state of Michigan. In the state of Nevada, they have a law that states, if you are CHARGED with domestic violence you must turn your weapon over to the state. This will give the victim a chance of hope that they can be safe and their predator won't come shoot them while awaiting trial or a conviction. This law will keep the victims of domestic violence safe and give them hope that they have a chance to become survivors.
