Stephen Miller guilty of Crimes Against Humanity

Senior Trump advisor Stephen Miller is the self-proclaimed driving force behind the so-called "zero-tolerance" immigration policy, the current enforcement of which has seen the morally abhorrent separation of children from undocumented and asylum seeking immigrant parents. Under Article 7 of the Rome Statute, the founding document of the International Criminal Court, Crimes Against Humanity are defined as a "widespread attack against a civilian population," characterized by, inter alia, "imprisonment or other severe deprivation of physical liberty in violation of fundamental rules of international law," and "other inhumane acts of a similar character intentionally causing great suffering, or serious injury to body or to mental or physical health." "Zero tolerance's" separation and detention of minors fits squarely within these parameters. As Americans, we cannot permit cowardly, sadistic, racist ideologues like Stephen Miller to perpetrate this inhumane viciousness. Although the United States has not endorsed the ICC, I believe that it is imperative that we as U.S. citizens demand those in power in our country be held to the standards of international law. Americans must let Mr. Miller know that he is a criminal, and that in a truly just world he would be treated as such. Please add your name to this petition as a sign that you demand that he, and his kind, be brought to account.

Why is this important?

I am starting this petition as a concerned citizen of the United States.
