My son goes to court for child support. They come up with the amount he has to pay and he also has to get the babys medical needs ok thats fair now he wants to know when he can see the baby and the DSS child support worker told him she does not handle that part and told us where to go. We had to go to Darlington County Courthouse downstairs in the basement.We asked for the paper and she gave us a booklet and told us to fill it out and bring it back with $150. He had to get a part time job to pay medical and child support. Now he needs another one to see the child he supports
Why is this important?
to change the way it works it is unfair. an sbsent parent goes to court and is ordered to pay child support but if he wants visitation rights he has to pay $150 and file a petition. Why cant he pay child support and see the child also.
