With very little transparency from the City, there seems to be more questions than answers about the proposed apartment complex for the Industrial Lot between XPO and the new housing addition. Before any decisions are made, there should be research done to prove that this will be beneficial for our community. There also needs to be foresight into future developments in case that land is needed for other City projects. We need to put a stop to this development to analyze all the pros and cons before committing to something that could very well be detrimental to the future of our town.
Why is this important?
We need to ask City Council members all of the questions that they should have already asked themselves before getting to this point of the planning process. They should have reached out to the citizens to get them involved in the process, but they haven't. There have already been two recent public improvement projects that proceeded without informing the public, which is required by law. We need to hold City Council responsible for these actions.
