Keep retail stores closed on Thanksgiving Day so that employees can enjoy time with families. Some of them need time to honor their loved ones, and that is the most ideal time to do so.
Why is this important?
I have observed over the last few years, that stores have begun to open for business in the afternoon or early evening on Thanksgiving Day. This prevents the workers from enjoying one of the most important holidays with their families. Some businesses have capitalized on profits from bargain hunters looking for black Fridays deals, at the expense of employees' time with families. I believe other concerned Americans would want to see stores remain closed in observance of Thanksgiving. Let Black Friday remain on Friday!
