Condemn White Supremacist Vandalism in Hillsborough County, NH
The below signed are current and prior residents of Hillsborough county and their allies. Together they offer this collective statement urging in the strongest possible terms all local and neighboring town administrators, police departments, and faith-based groups to address and condemn the recent surge in white supremacist vandalism in Wilton, New Hampshire and neighboring towns. This statement is apolitical.
On more than three occasions, this vandalism has taken place on both private property and on town conservation land. These words are acts of violence that demonstrate a want to make non-white citizens feel unsafe and unwanted in our communities. We the below signed are deeply disturbed by these acts of violence and feel that they are not in keeping with our vision of our community.

Why is this important?
Inclusion and belonging are cornerstones of our community and it is the duty and the privilege of town administrators, police departments, and faith-based groups to make clear in no uncertain terms that all town residents throughout Hillsborough county are valued members of our community, that they will be treated with dignity and respect, and that acts of violence against them will be prosecuted.
Additionally, it must be made explicitly clear to those responsible that these acts of vandalism and intolerance will not be tolerated by any of the abovementioned groups. That hate has no home in Hillsborough county.
We urge the abovementioned groups to—in addition to their public statements addressing and condemning these acts of violence and expressing support for all residents in this community—make themselves resources on diversity, inclusion, and belonging by setting this as an important public priority within their own organizations.
