Provide funding to restore the "temporarily suspended" Amtrak service from New Orleans to Orlando.
Why is this important?
I have had my intercity mobility restricted by the suspension of Amtrak's Sunset Limited train segment between New Orleans and Orlando. Dozens of communities have had their only transportation alternative under a "temporary suspension" since Hurricane Katrina. To help these citizens like myself, and for the sake of its economic benefits, the Federal Government MUST put an end to this political laziness and provide funding for a daily Amtrak train from New Orleans to Orlando!
