CORAL REEF & HEALING BENEFITS

Coral Reef holds an extremely important space in the ocean. They are the lungs 🫁 in the oceans 🌊 around the world coastlines. Similarly the rainforest on land. A beach with abundant coral reef is very nourishing, supports the healthiest marine life, and cleanest beaches. Great Barrier Reef treasure over 600 kind of corals, 500 species of algae, 5, 000 kind of sponges.

The past decade, gradual weather change, and Climate Change has posed many risk in our environment. The amount of greenhouse gas emission release in busy coastal areas, is concerning, and need to proceed with caution ⚠️in tropical oceans. Because, Scientists have warned of bald spots and coral bleaching for the past 2 decades. They have discovered a rapid decline of coral reefs in South East Asia. In addition, several ocean/beaches are dead ➡️ Baltic Sea is one of them. Why ? Although, coral reef are very resistant to all sorts of destructive forces, but lately, severe storms, floods have disrupted the growth and tranquility of marine life. In 1983, an El Niño episode caused a rapid worldwide warming of tropical seas and that resulted to a massive deaf of coral reef. Severe weather is a threat to coral reef in the ocean around the world, especially where earthquakes and volcanic eruption are common. Drought has caused coral reef to loose it’s bright colors.

Why is this important?

Coral reef represents the rainforest in ocean around the world. The growth rate is 8cm per year and recolonization takes 15-20 years to fulfill a healthy beach. Community of marine life in many regions depends on coral reef as shelters. There are support groups in the marine community that offers symbiotic services to coral reef. These are Green algae, sea grass have a long term commitment for they bring food and nutrients to many marine species. Furthermore, sunny coastal areas and the biological process of photosynthesis through millions plankton undeniably brings light and brighter future for all living communities.in ocean 🌊 and on land.
