Corporate Donation Ban and Donation Cap

It’s unfair for corporations to be donating to our elected officials. If anyone should be able to donate, it should be an individual person since they should be working for us, not corporations. There should be a donation cap of $100 max per person so that the candidate doesn’t feel pressured to go against the majority, for the demands of someone or something with a huge sum of money.

Why is this important?

I’m so tired of watching our elected officials go against the majority of their constituents because there are a few large donors who they feel compelled to work for. If we’re going to be a democratic society we need to ban corporations from donating and only allow individuals to donate . I feel that way less money will be wasted on campaigns , we won’t have to see as many of those horrible commercials around election time. Money is destroying our system it’s time to make candidates work for our votes not for large donations.
