Create a Sugar Free Girl Scout Cookie option
Hello! My name is Zoey. I am currently a cadette in the girl scout troop 41202 from Florida. I have been a girl scout for 2 years and have been making goals during cookie season. One major complaint I often receive is that a person can not purchase or enjoy our cookies because of the Sugar content in them. We have a large elderly community where i live and I feel bad when they cant enjoy the cookies. While we love the donations, it would be amazing to have an inclusive cookie added to the lineup for those who have diabetes. I am starting this petition to see if we can raise awareness of the ongoing health condition and to gather signature to send to the cookie ambassador to see if we could make this dream a reality.
Why is this important?
According to a recent Google search, there are over 500 million people worldwide who have diabetes. At this rate, it is projected to increase to over 800 million by 2050. I have a lot of family including my dad, grandmother, and grandfather that have diabetes. We also have a large community that I would like to help support those to have a voice against this disease. Please help sign this petition so I may send it to the council to partner with them to create a new cookie for diabetics.
