Further cuts to Social Security are unconscionable and completely unacceptable - President Obama must not force our seniors to make further sacrifices at such a vulnerable stage of life. Seniors who have paid into the system their entire working lives must be protected.
Why is this important?
President Obama has proposed cutting Social Security by lowering cost-of-living adjustments for current and future retirees. Some seniors are already forced to turn off their heat in winter (or A/C in summer if they have that luxury), eat canned foods with no meat, or go without necessary medications as they desperately try to make ends meet month to month.
