Dangerous Intersection of Independence and Shelton/Joslin

The intersection of Independence and Shelton/Joslin is very dangerous during school drop off and pick up. The traffic going to the base is always backed up and people are flying down Independence. People trying to cross over Independence are being hit along with school buses. They will not put up a traffic light saying it will cause traffic.
I have suggested that we have crossing guards and a lower flashing speed limit sign during drop off and pick up times for the school. Many other schools have this where there is a big intersection like this. Help us make a change so we do not have more accidents.
