Declare a Climate Emergency in Iowa

We have first handedly been experiencing the affects of climate change in Iowa. Whether it’s the flooding, polar vortexes or record temperatures, climate change is hitting home for Iowa. That’s why we ask you to join Iowa Youth Climate Strike and help declare an emergency in climate change in Iowa.

Why is this important?

We demand for an emergency to be declared on climate change because we deserve a future. Scientists have told us time and time again that we need to act on climate change. But we haven’t acted, and now we have 11 years until it’s irreversible. We need to declare emergencies on climate change so our government will take the proper steps to reversing and stopping climate change. In Iowa we’ve experienced horrible flooding, polar vortexes, and record temperatures. This is an issue that has affected Iowa so much, yet no body is doing anything about it.
